JDE Weekly Parent Update 9/1/2023

 

Good evening,

We had such an exciting week with picture day and the JDE Character Parade! Thank you for all of your support. We hope to see our parents next Friday for the Fun Run. 

Hvae a great Labor Day weekend!

 

Updates for this Week:

  • New! Quarter 1 Report Cards--Report cards will go home on Friday, October 6 for Tracks 1 and 3. Track 4 student report cards will be sent out on Friday, October 27.

  • Student Illness--If your student is not feeling well, please keep them home. You will also need to contact your child's teacher, and they can help your student make up missed work. 

  • 2023-2024 Volunteer Registration–To complete the process to be a Volunteer within the Wake County Public School System for the 2023-2024 school year please use the link below to create an account and complete the registration process.

  • 2023-2024 JDE Parent and Student Handbook–We are excited to share our new handbook for the 2023-2024 school year. We have provided information on a variety of helpful topics. We will update it throughout the year with additional information.

JDE PTA Updates

 

  
  • Fun Run Information--The 2023 Panther Pride Fun Run is scheduled for Friday, September 8th. 

    • Pre-K to 2nd grade will run from 9:30-10:00 AM. 

    • 3rd to 5th grade will run from 10:30-11:00 AM.

      Additional Details:

      --Students and classes have opportunities to earn prizes during the fundraising period that will launch August 25th and close September 15th. Details will be sent home with the students on Friday. 

    • --Volunteers will be needed to assist with the run and prize distribution. Please be on the lookout for the sign up genius or contact the PTA.
