New!Backpack Buddies--We are preparing to re-start the Backpack Buddies Program at our school. This program provides students with supplemental food (commercially packaged and individually wrapped) that is easy to prepare and ensures they will have food to eat for the weekend. Students will bring home a bag that would fit into their backpack on Fridays. If your family is interested in this confidential program, please email our school counselor, Traci Johnson at email@example.com.
Library Book Checkout during Remote Learning--
*Students can go to Follett(Destiny) within their WakeID portal and place up to 5 books on hold at a time.
*Books will be pulled and ready for checkout 1-2 days after your holds have been place. Parents and students will get an email notification to let you know that the books are ready for pickup. Ex. If books are placed on hold on Monday, books will be ready for pickup by Wednesday if not sooner.
*Once families get an email stating books are ready for pickup, you may go to school and pick them up. Books will be in green bags labeled with the student's name found in the black bin with a yellow top outside the front office doors. If books are not picked up within 3 days, they will be removed from the bin. To avoid cross contamination, please do not place books on hold that you do not intend to pick up.
*Books can be returned at anytime to the tall green bin labeled JDE Book Return. Proper quarantine procedures will be followed when books are returned before they are ready for the next checkout.
*If you have any questions regarding library checkout please contact Mrs. DuPont, JDE's School Library Media Coordinator. Her email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
