We are very excited to reunite with our students after being apart for several weeks. We look forward to seeing you all online bright and early on Monday morning!
Updates for this Week:
New! Student Material Pick Up for 3rd Quarter-- Student materials will be available for pick up on Monday, January 25th, 2021 and will be distributed at Jones Dairy Elementary in the bus loop from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
When arriving in the bus loop you will need to provide the names of the student(s) you are picking up for and the grade level of the individual student(s). Staff will then bring the materials to your vehicle. You may pick up materials for other students if given consent from their parent/guardian as we hope to be able to provide all student the materials needed for learning as soon as possible.
You may also drop off library books in the green bin the loop.
Please note that we are distributing from the bus loop this time and not through the carpool lane.
The bus loop is in front of the media center.
Please email Mr. Saeva email@example.com if you have any questions about student material distribution.
New! Class Schedules--Families can expect to receive class schedules and other important information from their child's teacher by this afternoon.
New! Library Book Checkout during Remote Learning--
*Checkout for library books will begin Monday, January 25th. Students can go to Follett(Destiny) within their WakeID portal and place up to 5 books on hold at a time.
*Books will be pulled and ready for checkout 1-2 days after your holds have been place. Parents and students will get an email notification to let you know that the books are ready for pickup. Ex. If books are placed on hold on Monday, books will be ready for pickup by Wednesday if not sooner.
*Once families get an email stating books are ready for pickup, you may go to school and pick them up. Books will be in green bags labeled with the student's name found in the black bin with a yellow top outside the front office doors. If books are not picked up within 3 days, they will be removed from the bin. To avoid cross contamination, please do not place books on hold that you do not intend to pick up.
*Books can be returned at anytime to the tall green bin labeled JDE Book Return. Proper quarantine procedures will be followed when books are returned before they are ready for the next checkout.
*If you have any questions regarding library checkout please contact Mrs. DuPont, JDE's School Library Media Coordinator. Her email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
