Panther families,

The Fall Festival and Winter Shop are fast approaching (Friday, Nov. 22nd) and we need many volunteers to make this run smoothly. Students of winter shop volunteers will receive 5 fun bucks to shop with that evening. Please click on the link and consider volunteering for an hour or two for either event.   • Saturday, November 16th--Make up day for Tracks 1, 3, and 4--These three tracks will make up the first of two previous weather days missed this week on Saturday, November 16.  Please note that the arrival bell will ring at the normal time of 8:45am with the tardy bell ringing at 9:15am.  Students will be dismissed beginning at 12:45pm that afternoon.  Breakfast will be served this Saturday and students will be able to purchase the meal the same way they normally do during the week if they so choose. 

  • Art to Remember Order Deadline is November 17th at Midnight--Parents, please remember that the deadline for ordering your child's Art to Remember items and have those items delivered free to Jones Dairy Elementary is Sunday, November 17th at midnight.  After this date parents will have to pay for shipping and the items will be shipped directly to their house.

  • JDE Angel Tree--Once again JDE will sponsor an Angel Tree to assist families during the holiday season.  Our Angel Tree will be set up in the main office, if you would like to help our families, you can sign out an "Angel" which lists an item for a member of our school community.  All wrapped gifts are due back by December 6th.  

  • Fall Festival is November 22nd--Fall is here and the Jones Dairy Elementary PTA wants to host a celebration of the season with a Fall Festival.  Join us for a fun filled evening!

  • JDE PTA Winter Shop--The Winter Shop is fast approaching and we need many volunteers to make it successful.  Please follow the link to sign up and help the students shop for gifts for their family.  Please email Theresa Pritt at tpritt76@gmail.com with any questions.

  • Readvolution--Readvolution is back again this year!  The reading program will run until Friday, December 6. Students that meet their goal of 20 minutes of reading per day (800 minutes total) will be eligible for two complimentary ticket vouchers to a Carolina Hurricanes game.

  • Please link your Harris Teeter and Lowe's Foods cards--Thank you to those who have returned the form to link your Lowe’s Foods and Harris Teeter savings cards to JDE. If you haven’t done so please return it ASAP or email Theresa, our VP of Fundraising, at tpritt76@gmail.com with your card information and she will get your cards linked. *Please note that linking your cards do not affect your fuel rewards or give anyone access to your store account.*

Carpool Procedures

  • As the weather begins to get cooler, please make sure that your student is prepared with their coats, hats and gloves (if necessary) to exit their vehicle upon arrival.  This will allow for students and parents to move smoothly through the carpool line.
