It has been a fantastic school year and it is hard to believe the 2024-2025 school year is coming to a close. To our 5th graders - best of luck in Middle School! We will miss you! Thank you for all of your hard work this year! You will receive teacher assignments, supply lists and report cards on Thursday. We can’t wait to see you on July 2nd for our Meet the Teacher/Open House Event from 4:30-6:00pm and on July 7th (Track 3) or July 28th (Track 4) for the first day of the 2025-2026 school year.

 

HES Spirit Night at Dairy Depot

Enjoy a sweet treat and cool off in the heat by visiting Dairy Depot from 3pm-close on Tuesday, June 24th. 15% of sales will go back to HES!

Summer Meals

  • Children 18 years old and younger can receive free meals this summer through the Summer Food Program with Wake County and the USDA. Sites are available throughout Wake County and no registration or sign up is required! Visit wake.gov/summerfood
  • Hope House: 334 N Allen Road Wake Forest, NC. Monday 4:40pm-6:00pm (Take Home Meals, Produce, and Groceries) Get there as early as possible due to the risk of the food running out.

  • Olive Branch Baptist Church: 326 East Juniper Avenue, Wake Forest; Wednesday meals are served from 6 – 6:30 p.m. in the parking lot from the Wake Forest Baptist Church Food Truck on the second and fourth Wednesdays and Oink and Moo caters the first and third Wednesday.  Fifth Wednesdays are sponsored by church and civic groups. 

  • Youth Summer Feed Program at Covenant Life Fellowship: 4720 Forestville Road, Raleigh NC  27616; Meals are served  June 16th – August 22nd from 12 to 2 PM; Closed June 19th, July 4th and July 7th

  • Free Summer Meals: Northern Regional Center: 350 E Holding St. Wake Forest, NC. June 23th-August 1st, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 11:00am-12:00pm. Anyone 18 years or younger. No ID needed.
