Walk to School Day

Track 1 & 3 families, this exciting day is on Wednesday, October 4th.  On the morning of Oct. 4th, the schedule will be as follows:

• Bus riders will be dropped off at the middle school.  Our staff will meet students there and escort them to HES.  Those eating breakfast will be escorted to the cafeteria.

• Carpoolers will be encouraged to be dropped off at Smith Creek Soccer Center beginning at 7:55am. Our staff will greet students at the soccer fields and escort them to HES.  Parents are strongly encouraged to walk with their students if possible. Walkers from Smith Creek will begin walking at 8:15am.

• Remaining at School - We will have staff at the front entrance for any student not participating as well as in the cafeteria for breakfast and in the main office for medication and regular duties.

• We will all convene on the back soccer field at 8:45am for the pledge, the National Anthem and a welcome from Wake Forest Mayor, Vivian Jones

 

PTA News

Our GoPlaySave fundraiser has ended. Thank you to all who have purchased books to help support our school. If you'd still like to purchase your book, you may send in your order form with a cash or check payment. If you have chosen not to purchase a book, please return your book as soon as possible.

NEW Spirit Wear for the 23-24 school year is available! Orders close October 6th. Orders will be delivered in late October. You can shop HERE.

The HES Fall Into Fun Festival will be here before we know it. The festival will be on October 20th from 4:30pm - 7:00pm. As always, we need your help to make this event a success. We are in need of donations. If you are able to donate, please sign up here Fall Fest Donations

We are also looking for more vendors for our Fall Festival! This is a great place for local businesses to advertise and support our school in the process. Last year, we had over 700 people attend our Fall Fest.Tables are $100. Mark your calendars! One of our favorite Spirit Nights is coming next month. Culver's Spirit Night will be here October 10th!

 

PTA membership is open for the new school year. Visit Join the PTA to become a PTA member for the 2023-2024 school year! All members must rejoin every year. So even if you were a PTA member last year, you will still need to sign up again to become a member for the 2023-2024 school year. We welcome and love volunteers, and appreciate all those willing to take time out of their schedules to attend PTA meetings. However, joining the PTA does not mean you have to volunteer or attend meetings. Joining requires no time commitment. Your membership dues alone help support our school.
