Job Well Done:
It is hard to believe that we are coming to the end of the school year already. We are so proud of all that students have accomplished this year. Our students have exceeded expectations in the academic arena and behaviorally. Students have continuously demonstrated the HERO expectations while at school and while on fieldtrips. Great Job!
Students on tracks 3 and 4 have just a few weeks remaining. Please encourage them to put forth this best effort and please continue their nightly school routines through the 28th.
We appreciate our PTA and all HES families for your continuous support of students and staff.
Thank you for a successful year!
Welcome Ms. Harmon
I am pleased to introduce Ms. Amy Harmon as the new principal of Heritage Elementary School effective July 6, 2023. Ms. Harmon has most recently been assistant principal at Wake Forest Middle and has previously been an elementary educator.
Carpool:
Please keep your carpool tag for the 23-24 school year. Carpool numbers will remain the same.
Please be sure to have your carpool tag and keep it visible the entire time you are on campus. This helps to ensure the safety of your child. We have recently had an influx of people coming through the carpool line without a tag. Beginning June 5, WE WILL NOT CALL THE OFFICE TO VERIFY. If you do not have a carpool tag you will be directed to park and come into the Main Office and show photo ID prior to a student being released to you.
Safe Campus:
Please be reminded, whenever coming on campus you must show picture ID. Please be prepared to show that prior to entering. Thank you for your cooperation.
PTA:
We want to thank everyone who donated to our Fun Run and who participated in our silent auction and raffle in March. Thanks to your donations, we were able to purchase our much needed 42 foot playground shade structure!!!! We are excited to share that the shade structure will be installed this week! This would not have been possible without your generosity and support.
We would LOVE to have more participation in future PTA meetings. We are looking for feedback from parents and teachers on what days and times work best for meetings. We need to have at least 20 members present at every PTA meeting in order to get items approved. This includes any events happening or large items purchased for our school. Please fill out this form PTA Meeting Preference to let us know what works best for you!
PTA membership is open for the new school year. Visit Join the PTA to become a PTA member for the 2023-2024 school year! All members must rejoin every year. So even if you were a PTA member this year, you will still need to sign up again to become a member for the 2023-2024 school year. While we welcome and love volunteers, joining the PTA does not mean you have to volunteer or attend meetings. Joining requires no time commitment. Your membership dues alone help support our school.
