Week in Review:
It has been a very busy week. The PTA Fun Run last Friday was excellent. The weather did not cooperate for us to be outside but everyone adjusted well and had a great time. Our PTA was able to raise over $17,000.00 to assist with the cost of the shade structure.
On Monday we had our 4th quarter HERO Awards presented at lunch. We are so proud of so many students demonstrating our HERO expectations each day. Can you name our 4 expectations?
H – hold high expectations for yourself
E – be an engaged learner
R – be responsible
O – show that other people matter
Track 1 also took their EOGs this week. Students worked hard, took their time and used strategies they have been taught this year. We are proud of our students!
In addition, our teachers have felt so loved this week with all of the special Teacher Appreciation treats and sentiments students have been sharing with us. Thank you to our entire HES community.
Carpool:
Please keep your carpool tag for the 23-24 school year. Carpool numbers will remain the same.
Please be sure to have your carpool tag and keep it visible the entire time you are on campus. This helps to ensure the safety of your child. We have recently had an influx of people coming through the carpool line without a tag. Beginning June 5, WE WILL NOT CALL THE OFFICE TO VERIFY. If you do not have a carpool tag you will be directed to park and come into the Main Office.
PTA News:
A HUGE thank you to everyone who donated and volunteered to help with our Fun Run. The students had a great time, and we were able to raise over $17,000 towards our playground shade structure!
The HES PTA is applying to become a National PTA School of Excellence! We can’t do this if we don’t have enough responses to our school of excellence survey. Please fill out the survey. It will only take a few minutes of your time. https://forms.gle/Jobj1YvF3GqmbzcN7
There will be an all day Spirit Day at Dairy Depot on May 31st. Come out, cool down with some delicious ice cream, and support our school. Mention HES when you check out and 15% of your purchase will go to HES.
We are still looking for people who want to join the HES PTA board and/or committees for the 2023-2024 school year. If interested, please fill out our google form: HES PTA Board/ Committee Interest Form
We are also looking for feedback from parents and teachers on what days and times work best for future meetings. We need to have at least 20 members present at every PTA meeting in order to get items approved. This includes any events happening or large items purchased for our school. Please fill out this form PTA Meeting Preference to let us know what works best for you!
If you missed the first round of orders for HES 2022-23 yearbooks, you have a second chance! We are currently accepting orders through June 1, 2023. Orders will be delivered to the school in June. You can order via this link: https://www.strawbridge.net/ Order code YB25882
Visit Join the PTA to become a PTA member for the 2023-2024 school year! All members must rejoin every year. So even if you were a PTA member this year, you will still need to sign up again to become a member for the 2023-2024 school year.
