We are rapidly approaching the time of year when students in grades 3-5 have the opportunity to show what they have learned this year by taking the EOG. These assessments are required for all students in designated grades. Please help prepare your child by ensuring they have minimal evening activities and get a good night’s rest prior to testing.
- On the days indicated as EOG testing days we implore all parents to have students at school by 8:15 a.m. so students have time to use the restroom and get settled before testing begins promptly at 8:30. If students arrive after this time they will need to wait in the office and test on another day.
- Please notify your child’s teacher if student will not be in attendance any day so class is not waiting.
- Students are not permitted to wear Smart watches during testing. We encourage you to have your child leave the watch at home on testing days.
We are holding a career week on 5/16-5/20. We would love if you could participate! If you want to share about your job/career or know anyone who has a career that might interest the students, we have created a Flipgrid that you can add videos to. We ask that you answer the following questions in your video and keep it to a max length of 10 minutes.
- Please introduce yourself and provide a brief introduction on the schooling needed for your profession.
2 Explain your career using kid-friendly, age-appropriate language.
- What makes your job exciting?
- Share a fun fact about your career.
- Share how a typical school subject like math, reading, science, etc is used in your day-to-day career.
During that week teachers and students will be able to view the different videos daily and explore different professions.
Thank you so much for your continued support! The link to submit a video to the Flipgrid here: https://flipgrid.com/4b1ef295
If you have any questions you can reach out to our counselors Mrs. Meese (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Ms. Scardecchio (email@example.com) with any questions.
