Award Day!

Today was an exciting day in all of our classes. Each class recognized two students with the HERO Award. These are students that held HIGH EXPECTATIONS for themselves this quarter. We are so proud of these students.  Great work!

In addition, Principal Awards were presented to 1 student in each class based on their report card. Students are recognized for consistent high performance, marked improvement and/or overall HES HERO on a regular basis.  Congratulations to all of our Principal Award recipients.

Report Cards:

All Track 1,2 and 3 students will be bringing home their report cards today. Please take time this weekend to review and discuss your child’s progress. It is hard to believe we are at the midway point of this year already.  Students are encouraged to set a personal goal for themselves for the 3rd quarter.

Preparing for 2022-2023:

As we begin to prepare for the 2022-2023 school year there are two items to be considered at this time:

  • If you would like to be considered for a track change for next year, please email Ms. Canny, mcanny@wcpss.net with your student/s names and desired track by 1/31/22.
  • If you have a child or know of a child that will be age 5 by August 31, 2022 they can enroll for kindergarten. Please do this NOW as it assists us in planning for next year.  You can begin this process by accessing this link.

Other People Matter:

Thank you to everyone for assisting us in making sure staff and students remain safe during this time. Please remember to:

  • Notify us if your student or someone in your household is confirmed positive
  • Keep your child home if they have been exposed to someone diagnosed with COVID
  • Keep your child home if they are experiencing ANY COVID symptoms to ensure they do not spread their illness to anyone else.
