Students have done a wonderful job acclimating themselves to being back in the building. Students are demonstrating our behavior expectations on a regular basis:

H – hold High expectations

E – be an Engaged learner

R – be Responsible

O – demonstrate Other People Matter

So far Ms. McKoy’s, Ms. Mayer’s and Ms. Alford’s classes have received complements from other staff to spell out High Expectations!  Great job!

Positivity Project:

This week during our social emotional learning time students have ben learning about how our mindset impacts our behaviors. Next week will be bravery. Students will be learning that bravery means, “You act with mental, mora and physical strength even when you know things are difficult or scary.”

This is a great topic for families to discuss as some children may be fearful of the new environment, new people they are interacting with, etc. Nelson Mandela defines bravery as, “I learned that courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.”

Carpool:

Morning:  please help your child to prepare to exit the car as you enter our parking lot (ie: begin getting backpack on, saying goodbye, etc) so they can exit quickly.

Afternoon: please help your child learn their carpool number
