Asynchronous Days:
Reminder that on asynchronous days students are still required to check their Google classroom and complete the provided assignments. Students should plan to work for approx. 2 hours each asynchronous day. Completion of assignments is how attendance will be taken.
WCPSS BOE Decision:
As a reminder, last week the WCPSS BOE supported the recommendation to allow all students the opportunity to change their mode of instruction for the 4th quarter. Students may change from VA to face to face or from face to face to VA. If you would like to make this change you must email dtillery@wcpss.net by end of day April 1. Also, if your child will need transportation please go to wcpss.net/busform to apply for transportation and wcpss.net/busform to complete the attestation form.

It’s time for the Heritage Hurricanes Reflections Art Program. Submit your most creative & imaginative works of art & literature inspired by the 2021 theme, “Ways We Stay Connected”. Please view the 2021 HES Reflections Website for more information. All participants are invited to celebrate with us virtually on May 20th. Rainbow Run - We have collected over $12,000!! We are amazed and thankful for such wonderful families like ours at HES! Rainbow Run will continue through this wednesday, March 31. https://hes.reachapp.co/campaigns
During the week of Monday, April 5th through Saturday, April 10th, we are proud to be partnering with The Giving Tree to hold a Donation Drive to earn money for our school. We have just received $1500 by participating with The Giving Tree! Through this donation drive, we hope to earn even more money for 2021!
Participation in the donation drive is simple! All you need to do is grab a paper bag or box and fill it with gently used home goods items that you no longer use. Then you and your family can drop off your donations during the week of April 5th directly at The Giving Tree at 839 South Main Street in Wake Forest. They accept donations Monday-Saturday from 10:30-4:30. Our school will get TRIPLE Donation Credit during the entire week of our donation drive!
Here is a short list of a good items to donate!
· Décor & knick-knacks
· Books - Children's, young adult, and adult books; cookbooks, coffee table books, etc.
· Jewelry, Scarves, Handbags
· Kids toys
· Wall decor - Pictures, Prints, Sconces
· Cookware, Glassware, Crystal
· Glassware
· Ceramics - Vases, Pots
· Lamps
· Small Furniture
· Yard Items – Pots, Garden Tools, Garden Décor, even plants that need some love!
· Holiday decor!
The Giving Tree does not accept clothes, shoes, or electronics; printers, radios, tv’s, etc.

The Giving Tree is a 501c3 non-profit, so when you make a donation, you will receive a tax receipt for your donation.
This is a great way for you to clean out your house, give back to the community and earn money for our school! Win-Win all around!
When you bring a donation to The Giving Tree, please park in rear parking lot and unload donations onto Donation Porch area, then be sure to go inside to receive school credit and to pick up a tax receipt!
