Congratulations!

I am thrilled to inform you that the Education Committee of the Symphony has awarded Barina Bailey the 2019/20 Maxine Swalin Award for Outstanding Music Educator. The committee reviewed several applications, but her endless commitment to music education and the impact she has had on thousands of students for more than three decades stood out. The Swalin Award honors Maxine Swalin who, along with her husband, raised funds to establish the children’s concert division in 1945. We are so proud of Ms. Bailey!
