Congratulations to Avery Parker.  Avery’s  3-D recycled mask art piece, entitled Cow Goddess, will has been selected to represent Heritage Elementary at the Gifts of Gold Celebration.  Avery’s work will be displayed at Memorial Auditorium and she will be recognized at a celebration on March 3, 2020.

In addition, Ms. Weisz has displayed student art work at the, The Factory and the SECU on Jenkins Road and the one on Rogers Road in Rolesville, as well as, WCPSS Central Office Board of Education Room.  Check out the great art work of our students.

Carpool Reminders:

Please be mindful as you arrive at Morning Carpool. We need cars in the left lane to stop at trailer 8 which will be marked with a green sign. Please stop at the green sign and wait there for a staff member to direct you to forward.

Love the Bus Week Feb 10-14:

Bus drivers work hard to ensure that more than 70,000 students are delivered to and from school safely every day. They are the first WCPSS employee our bus riders see in the morning and the last they see in the afternoon. It’s no secret that we greatly appreciate our bus drivers each and every day. We know you appreciate them, too. That’s why we hope you will take an active part in the Love the Bus celebration the week of February 10-14.

February 20 PTA Meeting/Curriculum:

Our PTA meeting on February 20 will be quite informative for all parents.  We will discuss literacy and math instruction and then break into small specific groups:

Grades 1, 2 and 3 will receive information on Read to Achieve Camp

Grade 5 will learn more about Middle School Math Registration

We will also have a session on Single Subject Advancement

Plan to attend this informational night!
