HES Weekly Announcements April 15-18

Friendly Reminder: We have reviewed previous communication with the students that once they leave the classroom at the end of the day, they will not be allowed to return to retrieve any items left behind.  This includes any personal items including homework and/or technology. Please remind your student to gather all needed items before leaving the classroom for dismissal. Our teachers will continue to remind the students as well.  Thank you for your attention to this matter.

**Freddy's Spirit Night is Tuesday April 16 from 5pm - 8pm - we hope to see you there!!

**Our Read-A-Thon Fundraiser is starting Monday April 15 for Tracks 1 and 3. Tracks 2 and 4 will start on April 22. Information packets will be in the Monday folders tomorrow for Tracks 1 and 3. If you have any questions, please let us know.


**Our Scholastic Book Fair will start Wednesday April 17 and end on April 24th. This is a BOGO (buy one get one free) event so we are very excited to have this opportunity for our kids to have the opportunity to read more exciting books.


The book fair will be open in the morning before 8:25, please have the kids go to the classroom FIRST and then ask permission to go to the media center. There will be no family night for this event.


**This year’s Teacher Appreciation Week theme is “How sweet it is to be taught by you.” Tracks 1 & 2 will celebrate TAW April 29-May 3. Tracks 3 & 4 will celebrate May 20-24. The PTA has organized celebrations for the week and a flyer with more information will be sent him with your child one week before their week.


**Attention HES Artists, Writers, Photographers, & Musicians K - 5th grade!

The due date for Reflections Artwork is approaching on Thursday, April 18 & April 25.

Turn in artwork at the table in the hall right outside the cafeteria between 7:50-8:30.

The theme this year is "Dream Big."

Don't miss out on the chance to share your art & creativity with HES!

Our Reflections Celebration & Family Art Night will be on May 16th.
