Principal Message Week Of June 4, 2023
Good afternoon Davis Drive Elementary families,
It is hard to believe that this is the last newsletter for the 22-23 school year! What a fantastic year it has been. Thank you for sharing your children with us. Our school would not be the same without them :) I learn from them each and every day and their smiles, kindness, and love of learning make my heart happy. I wish you all a wonderful summer and safe travels. My next newsletter will be on August 20th.
All Media Center books are due on Monday, June 5th. If you would like to see what books your child currently has checked out, go to their WakeID Portal - click on Destiny Discover - My Stuff - Checkouts.
Any students who have not returned all of their Media Center books by the end of the school day on June 5th will have email reminders sent to parents and classroom teachers so that they can help them locate books. Common hiding places for Media Center books are:

If you have any neighbors who have a rising Kindergartener please ask them if they have registered for school yet. Our numbers of registered students at this point in the year allow me to plan staffing for next year and hire the best candidates if we need to.
