Davis Drive Elementary Principal Message December 15
Hello Davis Drive Elementary School families this message is to remind families that tomorrow Wednesday, December 16 is an Asynchronous day. Students will access school work online and there is no live or in-person instruction scheduled at school.
You may be aware that the School Board is meeting this evening to consider potential changes to our school attendance. This is a school system decision that will be voted on this evening. There is a potential for our schools to continue with the current plan, or to consider additional remote learning. Decisions made by the school system may have an impact on our 2nd semester plans. At this time, class lists for Spring Semester 2021 have not been finalized. However, our school had a few requests to change plans (less than 50). For the most part, current homeroom assignments will remain the same. In January, we will notify parents who requested changes in attendance plans of their new homeroom assignments.

On a personal note, I want to send a big thank you to our school community for the surprise celebration yesterday. The parade and celebration was truly heart-warming. I love our school. Davis Drive is a wonderful school and I will miss being a part of the staff. My decision to retire has nothing to do with Covid I am still very happy coming to school every day. Instead after 39 years with the school system it became time for me to focus on some other areas. I appreciate your support and wanted to send a very big thank you to our school community.
Remember that there is no school tomorrow. We look forward to seeing our students on Thursday.
