Davis Drive Elementary Principal's Message Week of Sept. 27
Hello Davis Drive Elementary Families. This is the Weekly Principal’s Message for the week of September 27. Monday, September 28 is a teacher workday and there is no school for students.
WCPSS is hosting a three make-up device distribution days at Crossroads III, 111 Corning Rd, Cary:
- Monday (9/28) 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Tuesday (9/29) 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Wednesday (9/30) 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Distributions will ONLY be held at Crossroads III in Cary. WCPSS will send a message to all families who have requested a device but have yet to pick up.
Students do not need an invitation email or invitation date in the tool to attend. Any student who has requested a Chromebook as indicated in the Tech Survey Tool can pick up during these times. The Student Help Desk will be open at the distribution center. Students with a currently checked out Chromebook or hotspot may bring it to the distribution center to be repaired or replaced.
The WCPSS Board of Education will meet on Tuesday, September 29 to consider reopening proposals for our schools. There are many details to be discussed at the school system and school board level before we can answer questions. Davis Drive Elementary will make plans based on the decisions that are made at the district level. We will do our very best to keep families informed. At this time we do not have complete information to answer questions regarding details of reopening. For a source of the most current information see https://www.wcpss.net/returntocampus.
Our PTA reminds parents that they are accepting signs of gratitude in drop boxes at the front of the school. Please submit a note, card, or picture by September 30th. Your signs of gratitude will be used on 2 decorated billboards in the lobby. Place your work in the collection bin right outside of school.
Our PTA will sponsor a School Spirit night at Chipotle; 1516 Market Place in Morrisville; Wednesday, September 30 from 5pm until 9pm. See the attached flyer for details about how Davis Drive Elementary PTA will receive credit. Flyer Here
