Carpenter Families,

I hope each of you has a wonderful extended break with your loved ones.  I will certainly take time during this holiday to reflect on how thankful I am for the opportunity to serve this community.  Everyone has been very welcoming during my first few months as principal, and I am very grateful to each of you.  I am honored every day to  be able to spend it with our amazing staff and your precious children. 

Upcoming Field Trip:

Our 3^rd graders will be going to the NC Museum of Natural Science in Raleigh on 11/28, 12/6, or 12/14- depending on their track.  This will be a great opportunity for them to connect real life science to the content they have been learning.  Watch for communication from 3^rd grade teachers coming home!

The collection period has been extended one more week!  Our new deadline for contributions is November 24th -- thank you to all who have donated!.  Click here for more information.  

Square 1 Art Fundraiser:

Keepsakes and gifts are on sale now -- just in time for the holidays! Search for your child's art using Art Search (https://shop.square1art.com/Shop/artwork/Search) and enter state, school name, and your student's last name.  Your student's art and code will appear!  Order deadline has been extended to December 1st. 

Next Spirit Event!

Come to Urban Air@Morrisville on Friday, December 1st, 4:30 PM - 9:00 PM, and get the Platinum Attraction package($38.99) + socks ($3.50) for $25. This package includes *all* the attractions except for indoor skydiving.  Urban Air will donate 20% of the ticket sales to the PTA. 

This is an excellent opportunity to save and help our school. All you do is say you are coming with Carpenter Elementary (no flyer needed!).  Click here to view the flyer. 

Book Fair is Coming Soon!

The Book Fair is coming to Carpenter and will be here from November 27th - December 8^th.

Family Night will be on 11/28 from 5:30pm - 7:30pm

Donuts with Grownups (tracks 1 & 3) will be on 11/30 at 8:00am

Donuts with Grownups (tracks 2 & 4) will be on 12/6 at 8:00am
