To All Carpenter Elementary Families,

Happy Tuesday! We are off to an excellent start for this week. I wanted to take this opportunity to update you on a few school happenings:

Teacher Appreciation

Thank you so much for all the ways that you showered our staff with kindness last week. All the cards, flowers, and presents truly touched us. Our staff felt so special and spoiled. The PTA provided two lunches and a breakfast to our entire staff family. We are so grateful! The most important gift you give us is sharing your precious children with us daily.

Kindergarten Orientation

Tonight is the night for Kindergarten Orientation, starting at 5:30 pm in the gym. Please come with your rising Kindergarten student so that they can meet the teachers, see the classroom, and you can learn more about Kindergarten expectations.

Retirement

I have so loved being Carpenter Elementary's principal for the past nine years. However, my thirty years are coming up in the fall so I am retiring on September 1st. Since 2014, I have only taken one week of vacation so I am looking forward to some time off.

There will be an input session for parents to help develop a leadership profile for the selection of our next school principal. Once the date has been confirmed, it will be shared.
