Greetings Parents and Families!

My name is Jessica Canaday and I am thrilled to be serving Laurel Park Elementary as the new Assistant Principal and Literacy Coach for grades K-2. I have 21 years of experience in education as a classroom teacher in pre-K through 2nd grades and reading specialist/interventionist for students in kindergarten through 5th grades. 

After many years of seeing and experiencing the challenges teachers and students face, I decided to pursue administration to make a greater positive impact on the lives and success of teachers, staff, and most importantly, our students. I am passionate about supporting our children’s academic and social-emotional well-being and committed to the work we do each day to help them learn, succeed, and grow towards the best version of themselves.
