Hello Pleasant Grove Families,
This Message provides an update regarding plans for reopening Pleasant Grove Elementary.
School Update: As many local news media outlets have reported, due to trends with COVID-19 in the area, WCPSS is now considering the option of opening the school year with online instruction for all students. A decision by WCPSS about this change could be made as early as this Tuesday. Should WCPSS decide to modify Plan B, another registration window for the Virtual Academy will be opened. Virtual Academy: Regardless of the changes for opening schools that WCPSS is considering, the Virtual Academy will continue. All K-12 families have the option to choose the Virtual Academy if they are not ready or able to return to a school campus. The Virtual Academy allows students to maintain continuity of a fully online learning environment regardless of any decisions made by the state to move into Plan A, B, or C throughout the school year. Students who sign up for Virtual Academy are still part of Pleasant Grove and will be taught by Pleasant Grove teachers to the degree possible. Registration for the Virtual Academy is open now.
