Memorial Day: In honor of Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, there will be no remote learning activities for students.
Food Distribution Canceled on Memorial Day: In observance of Memorial Day, food distribution services will be canceled on Monday, May 25. Extra food will be distributed on Friday, May 22 for students and families for the holiday weekend. Most weekend food service sites will still operate on a normal schedule Memorial Day Weekend. Please make arrangements now to secure additional food for your family, if needed, on Memorial Day. You can view a list of sites, dates, and times at wcpss.net/food.
WCPSS Reminder: Please take a quick survey on your remote learning experience by May 20. WCPSS will use your feedback to help us improve remote learning for students.
Next School Year: Will your family move or attend another school next year? Not sure where you will be next August? Let me know what your plans are for next school year. Will you have a child start Kindergarten next school year? If so, visit https://bit.ly/PGESfutureflyer to enroll.
Virtual Field Day: Our Students will continue to enjoy Virtual Field Day activities again this week. Since we cannot enjoy our usual field day together, we are going to rock out with some awesome, creative activities for kids at home! Check out this link from Coach Hager for details.
Grading Update: Teachers will provide written feedback for students in the comments section of the student report card. This information will be sent to families by email on June 5. We are issuing this feedback to you a week before the school year ends so that we can confirm each family receives a copy. If you do not have an email address on file with the school, this information will be issued to you by U. S. mail at the address on file with the school.
End of Year Pick-Up: We are planning events to allow families to pick up any remaining personal items for students including their artwork in early June. Any families who have ordered yearbooks will be able to pick up yearbooks during this time. We will announce more details by May 27.
Chromebook Devices: Families who are leaving WCPSS schools will need to return any devices or internet hot spots that they have checked out. Families who will continue to attend WCPSS schools next year can continue to use these devices over the summer. Email email@example.com if you have questions.
