RCMMS PTA News
Last Thursday, members of the PTA elected most of its 2025-26 Executive Board:
- President, Heidi Craig
- 7th Grade VP, Katherine Fontenot-Gomez
- Secretary, Lisa Thomson
- Treasurer, Jo Towns.
We are seeking 2 more positions: 6th Grade (parent) VP and 8th Grade (parent) VP for next year.

🎉Thank you to our parents and restaurant partners (Birdie’s Cafe, Carolina Ale House and Chocolate Smiles) for helping us celebrate the entire staff at Reedy Creek for Teacher Appreciation Week.
We need more parent and volunteer support for the 8th Grade Dance on May 16. Our biggest needs on the Signup Genius are:
- Bulk Candy packs from BJs, CostCo, or Walmart (Full size examples: Skittles, chocolate bars)
- Pop-up tents/canopies to borrow
- Volunteers to decorate in hour-slots throughout Friday
- Volunteers to clean-up 8-9 p.m. after the dance
- Monetary donations via our GiveBacks store

Summer Food Assistance Program
This U.S. Department of Agriculture program provides a debit card worth $120 per eligible child that can be used to buy nutritious food during the summer months when schools are out. Most eligible students will be automatically enrolled in the program, but some will need to apply. Visit ncdhhs.gov/sunbucks to determine if you need to apply.
Seeking Sports Parents for 25-26 Athletic Booster
If you are a parent of an RCMMS athlete, or have a rising 7th grader enthusiastic about participating, please consider joining our Athletic Booster to help transition to 2025-26 school year. Booster is now part of the PTA, but we need dedicated sports parents to maintain concession sales, team t-shirt orders, team breakfasts and celebrations.
