Every student received a copy of the yearbook. If you wish to purchase a year book, please submit $17 by June 3rd. If you do not want to pay for a book, simply return the book.
Bus routes will be posted to the web and will be communicated to families via School Messenger based on the following schedule:
August 16 for Traditional calendar schools
Parking can be challenging during school wide events. Please be advised that if you block a private driveway in the neighborhood you could be cited by Cary Police.
Also, please avoid parking in areas that are not designated parking areas (i.e. bus loop, fire lanes, reserved parking spaces and the curve leading into the schools parking lot). Thank you for your understanding!
May 10th Broadcast Message for Families: The Transportation Department will be sending a message to all current bus riders that are eligible for transportation communicating the following:
If your transportation eligible child will be riding the bus from the same address to the same school next year, you do not need to take action. If you need to update your bus service, please go online. Up-to-date transportation information is available in your student’s Home Base/PowerSchool account. More information on Home Base is available atwww.wcpss.net/student-information.
If your student is assigned to transportation but is not a rider, parents are to submit the online form so that we have the most up-to-date information.
Parents do not have to register for transportation services if their student has special transportation as a related service.
Cut off Dates to Ensure First Day Service: Any transportation eligible family who needs to make a change or request service for 2019-20 is requested to meet the following deadlines to ensure service on the first day of school: July 29 for Traditional calendar schools
Requests received after these cut off dates will be processed in the order received and WCPSS Transportation will make every effort to provide service as quickly as possible.
Are You Planning A Move?
As we try and plan our class lists for next school year, it is very helpful if we are if you know your child will not be attending Wake County Public Schools for next school year, please let Highcroft Elementary know when you have made that decision. If you plan on going to a private school or moving out of the county, please fill out the attached Withdrawal form Withdrawal Form.doc. You can put the last day of school, June 11th, as the withdrawal date.
This will allow us to remove your child from the Wake County Public School system. This is very helpful since Highcroft has become a capped school. There is a waiting list for students to attend our school. If we receive your withdrawal form
back, this will open up a seat for another student on the waiting list. If you have a rising 6th Grade student and will not be attending Middle School in Wake County Public Schools, please fill out the form. This will allow a seat to open up at Mills Park Middle School for students that are on the waiting list.
If you are moving to another home but will still be in Wake County next year, you will just need to update your address here at Highcroft. There is no need to fill out the withdrawal form. Your child will be assigned to the new base school based on the address update. Thank you very much for helping us as we plan for the upcoming school year.
