Hello, Rolesville MS Families, this is Ms. Cooper with a weekly update. I hope everyone is having a pleasant weekend! Parents, please see important information below.

EOG Testing:  Parents, students will be taking the NC EOGs this week.  Sixth and seventh graders test on Monday and Tuesday and eighth graders test Monday thru Wednesday.  Please make sure your student has a good breakfast and arrives each day by 8:15. I would also appreciate it if you could share positive affirmations with your student each morning.    A positive mindset makes all the difference!  Thank you in advance.

25-26 Start Date: Students return on August 25; Please see the 2025-2026 Traditional Calendar on the www.wcpss.net site.  You will receive a welcome letter from me in July with your student’s schedule and supply list.

No School: June 19-Teacher Workday

Yearbooks: Yearbooks are once again available for ordering.   Strawbridge has reopened the ordering website at the following link: https://strawbridge.fotomerchanthv.com/search/YB31081  These yearbooks will be shipped to the student's homes, not to the school.  There is an additional shipping cost.

6^th Grade Parents: North Carolina law now requires Tdap and Meningococcal vaccines for entry into 7th grade. Please submit an updated copy of your child's shot record to the school if you have not already done so. If you have any questions, please contact our school's data manager at jcofield@wcpss.net.

Athletics: Registration for sports for the 25-26 school year is now open for rising 7th and 8th graders via DragonFly. Families are encouraged to review the eligibility requirements and obtain sports physicals prior to the start of the new school year due to the quick turnaround time we have once school starts. Tryouts for Volleyball, Girls' Soccer, Football, and Cheerleading will begin September 2nd. All students who plan to tryout must submit updated paperwork and select 2025-2026 Fall, Winter, and/or Spring Registration in DragonFly.

Parents of rising 9th Graders: You will need to connect your DragonFly account to your child's high school by selecting "Connect to School or Association" once logged in. Doing so will automatically transfer over your sports physical information (if it is uploaded). Any 8^th graders who submitted paper physicals this year may see Coach Robison to pick it up.

Hola, familias de la Escuela Secundaria Rolesville, les habla la Sra. Cooper con el informe semanal. ¡Espero que tengan un buen fin de semana! Padres, por favor, lean la información importante a continuación.

Exámenes EOG: Padres, los estudiantes presentarán los exámenes EOG de Carolina del Norte esta semana. Los estudiantes de sexto y séptimo grado se presentan los lunes y martes, y los de octavo grado de lunes a miércoles. Por favor, asegúrense de que su estudiante desayune bien y llegue todos los días a las 8:15. También les agradecería que compartieran afirmaciones positivas con su estudiante cada mañana. ¡Una mentalidad positiva marca la diferencia! Gracias de antemano.

Padres de alumnos de 6.º grado: La ley de Carolina del Norte ahora exige las vacunas Tdap y meningocócica para ingresar a 7.º grado. Por favor, envíen una copia actualizada del registro de vacunas de su hijo a la escuela si aún no lo han hecho. Atletismo: La inscripción para deportes del año escolar 25-26 ya está abierta para los alumnos que ingresan a 7.º y 8.º grado a través de DragonFly. Se recomienda a las familias que revisen los requisitos de elegibilidad y obtengan sus exámenes físicos deportivos antes del inicio del nuevo año escolar, debido al rápido tiempo de respuesta una vez que comienzan las clases. Las pruebas para voleibol, fútbol femenino, fútbol americano y porristas comenzarán el 2 de septiembre. Todos los estudiantes que planeen participar en las pruebas deben presentar la documentación actualizada y seleccionar la inscripción de otoño, invierno o primavera 2025-2026 en DragonFly.

Padres de estudiantes que ingresan a 9.º grado: Deberán vincular su cuenta de DragonFly con la escuela preparatoria de su hijo/a seleccionando "Conectar con la escuela o asociación" una vez que hayan iniciado sesión. Al hacerlo, se transferirá automáticamente la información de su examen físico deportivo (si está cargado). Los estudiantes de 8.º grado que hayan presentado sus exámenes físicos en papel este año pueden visitar a la entrenadora Robison para recogerlos.
