Dear RMS Families-

I hope everyone has had a great week!  Here are the updates to share this week:

1. If you are interested in your student getting a head start on earning college credits while earning their high school diploma, consider an Early College. The Early College Fair will be held at 9 am Saturday October 12 at Vernon Malone College & Career Academy. The application period to apply also starts on October 12. If your student is interested, please contact your school counselor if you have additional questions or visit

2. October is National Bullying Prevention Month and we will be kicking off this month with our annual Blue Out.  On Monday October 7th, students and staff should wear blue to show that we are unified in our efforts to stand up against bullying and to spread kindness and respect throughout our school.  Please remind your child to wear blue on Monday! You can click herefor more information about this national campaign.

3. Report cards will be coming home on Monday.  They were scheduled to come home today, but dates were extended due to the days we were out during the hurricane.  Included with the report card will be their Math EOG scores from last year.

4. Congratulations to our volleyball and soccer teams on their victories against Wendell.  We have our first home football game of the season on Monday against Wendell.  We hope to see many students and families at the game.  Our sports teams will also travel to River Bend later in the week.  Good luck to all our student athletes.
