Return to Headlines

December 21, 2018

Dear RMS Families-

I hope everyone has had a great week and will have a wonderful holiday!

1. We look forward to seeing Tracks 1, 2 and 3 when we return on January 2nd.

2. 8th grade parents please mark your calendars to attend the High School on the Horizon program at 6 pm January 17th.  Come out and hear information on graduation requirements and the upcoming registration process for your rising 9th grade student.

3. Congratulations to our basketball teams on their victories against River Bend this week.  The boys game was a very exciting game that went into double overtime!  The boys move to 2-2 and the girls move to 4-0.

4. What a wonderful job by all our students who participated in the talent show last evening.  It truly was impressive!  A big thank you to Mr. DiDonna and Mrs. Vaglio for their dedication to making it happen!

5. Please be reminded that we need ALL coupon books returned as soon as possible.  For all books that are not returned we lose out on some of the funds that were raised by the books that were sold.  We appreciate your help with this.

1. We asked and you once again answered … a BIG "Thank You" to all our generous donors, volunteers and all those that have participated in any of our fundraisers! Your actions allowed us to gift teachers/staff/bus drivers a popcorn holder, popcorn, soda, candy bar, candy cane and [teachers/staff] a Redbox gift certificate...and treat them to a hot chocolate and dessert bar. Thank you for helping us spread some holiday cheer!

2. Mark your calendars - The PTA is holding a Community Personal Hygiene Drive and an In-School Collection Contest. Toiletries collected will be donated to the Food Pantry here at RMS.   The “Super Bowl of Caring” contest kicks off Monday, January 7th and will run through Feb. 1st.   Students will receive a raffle ticket for each toiletry item that they donate with a chance to win a RMS Spirit package!
Much needed items are Shampoo/Conditioner, Feminine Products, Deodorant, Bar Soap/Body Wash and Toothbrushes / Toothpastes.  Items should be new and unused.

Wishing everyone a happy and safe Winter Break … we’ll see you in the new year!
