December 14, 2018

Dear RMS Families-

I hope everyone has had a great week!  Here are the updates and happenings at RMS!

1. On Monday, December 17, 2018 your child will bring home their 2019-20 school assignment strip. Please be sure to ask your child for this.  Please read it carefully as it contains important information regarding the next school assignment for you child.  There is also important information about making a request for a change in school assignment that will be included.

2. 8th grade parents please mark your calendars to attend the High School on the Horizon program at 6 pm January 17th.  Come out and hear information on graduation requirements and the upcoming registration process for your rising 9th grade student. An important part of the evening is showing how GPA is calculated and how a student’s academic performance as a freshman can positively or negatively impact their GPA.

3. We have a home basketball game on Monday against River Bend Middle School.

4. Put December 20th at 6:30 on your calendar for the first ever RMS Talent Show.  It should be exciting night of showcasing some students doing some spectacular things.

5. Please remember that next Friday is an early release, which means dismissal will be at 12:30.

6. We just received notice that January 18th is being changed from an early release day to a full day of school.  As a result, they have canceled the Saturday, March 16th make-up day.  Future inclement weather could result in that changing back to a Saturday school.

7. Please consider signing up to make our first Engineering Day a success. It will be held on Friday, February 15th from 8:00 am – 11:30 am.  You can sign up by going here:
