Principal's Message April 17, 2025! (8th grade dance, Family Survey, Flora Festival, Summer Meals, Volunteer opportunity, Spirit Night)

Hello HMS Families!

There is NO school tomorrow, Friday, April 18 (holiday - Good Friday)!!!  Track 3 is officially tracked out and we will see you back on Monday, May 12.  Track 4, returns Tuesday, April 22 (not Monday)!  So, yes, rarely ever happens, but only track 1 is in session at HMS on Monday, April 21.

This past week has been exciting at HMS! Our talented students performed in Aladdin, Jr, the musical!  It was WONDERFUL!!!!  Our kids are just amazing!  From the crew, set design, tech, to the actors/actresses, it was such a hit!  We also celebrated our amazing assistant principals this week.  If you didn't get a chance, it is not too late to send a quick message to them to share your appreciation.

Next week at HMS:

  • Next week is Administrative Assistant Appreciation Week, and we couldn’t let it pass without recognizing the amazing women who are truly the heartbeat of our school. If you’ve visited our building, chances are you were welcomed by our ever-cheerful receptionist Ms. Pender, guided through enrollment or student assignment questions by Ms. Clarke, taken on a warm and informative tour by Ms. Ledesma, or helped in quiet ways by Ms. Caruso. Each of these incredible women works tirelessly behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly—and always with a smile.  Their care, patience, and dedication make a difference in the lives of our students, staff, and families every single day. So if you’re in the building next week, please take a moment to share a kind word or gesture of appreciation. Let’s celebrate the people who support us all with such grace and kindness.
  • Tuesday, April 22: Pick up 8th grade yard signs in carpool.
  • Wednesday, April 23: Spirit Day/Night at Bibibop from 10:30AM - 9:30PM.

Does your child need volunteer/service hours?

North Forest Pines PTA reached out to me to share the following information.  "Our big spring event, Falcon Fest, is happening on Friday, May 9th and we need middle and high school volunteers to make it a success! If you could share this volunteer sign up link with any responsible students who might be interested in helping, we would greatly appreciate it! This is a fun way for them to earn community service hours. My contact information is in the sign up description, so they can contact me directly by text or email with any questions. Falcon Fest Student Volunteer Sign Up
