May 16, 2021 Principal Message
Hello Patriot Families!
Thank you for your support as we switched to live remote instruction on Friday for all our classes. Should there be further live remote days I will send a School Messenger update to clarify expectations at Heritage Middle. My apologies for any confusion on Friday. Here are this week’s updates:
Notes for All Students
Asynchronous Day: Wednesday, May 19, is an Asynchronous Remote Learning Day. No live instruction will occur but asynchronous assignments will be provided.
8th Grade Celebration: Information about 8th grade celebration will be provided next week. This event will be virtual.
Final Drive By: The final drive by to drop off materials has been scheduled for June 17 and 18. More details will be provided soon.
PTA News: Upcoming Spirit Night will be at Papa Murphy's on Monday, May 31st, from 1:00-8:00!
**To end the school year, WCPSS Technology Services needs ALL school issued hotspots and power cords returned to the school. Please return your school owned Wi-Fi hotspots at your earliest convenience to our front office. Students can also bring their hotspot to their homeroom teacher. If your student has a school issued Chromebook and will be returning to a WCPSS school next year, please keep that Chromebook to continue using next year.
**As we near the end of the school year, we are unable to continue supplying refurbished devices as replacements for broken Chromebooks. Students who have a broken device should return the broken device to school where we will check in the device, making your student eligible for another device. All students who do not have a district device to start the new school year will be assigned one at the beginning of the 2021-22 school year.
Track Assignments: Tracks for 2021-2022 are posted on the school website https://www.wcpss.net/heritagems . Students were returned to the track they were assigned prior to this school year. The easiest way to search is to use Ctrl F and type in your child’s ID number.
