January 24, 2021 Principal Message

Hello Patriot Families!

It has been a busy week at Heritage preparing for student learning next week.  Thank you for your patience as we completed scheduling for the semester.   I hope your time away from schoolwork has left you rejuvenated and ready to learn this semester.  We are excited to get started!  Here are this week’s updates:

Calendar:  All students are currently in remote learning.  Remote classes begin Monday, January 25, with all students attending Homeroom/Encore at 8:10am.   Teachers will send Google Meet invitations to their homeroom students.  Students will have a full day of online classes beginning Tuesday, January 26.

Drive By Pick Up:  We loved seeing all of the parents and students who attended our Drive By Pick Up last week.  If you were unable to attend the Drive By Pick Up, staff will be able to assist you Monday 8:00 am - 2:00 pm.  Please pull to the rear of the school (in the bus loop) under the overhang.   1) All students will return their EL novels and pick-up new ones.  2) Please state your child’s grade and math level when you arrive to determine if you also need math materials.

Open House:  A virtual asynchronous Open House has been scheduled for our families to access on January 25 after 1:00 pm.  The primary purpose will be for students who have changed teachers to have an opportunity to hear expectations for their new classes.  Virtual links will be posted via School Messenger and on our website.

Schedules:  The following update was sent to families January 20:  Click here.

Reminders from Previous Weekly Messages

Bus Rider Information:  All families with students assigned transportation for the second semester received an email and text via SchoolMessenger on Thursday, January 7, with information about health and safety procedures. Bus route information was emailed on Friday, January 8. Families will also receive notification with bus route information regarding their student’s Health Attestation status. Students without valid Health Attestation Forms will receive information that action is required to complete the one-time attestation. Families have the option of submitting the form online at or by hard copy to their student’s school.
