Reminders from Previous Weekly Messages

Bell Schedule: The schedule has been revised to include lunches for Plan B face-to-face.  All students will need to follow this revised schedule beginning Nov. 9. Class time changes have been noted in red.

Cohort Information:  Students in Plan B will be returning to school on a 3-week rotation beginning Nov. 9.  Plan B Families received communication via School Messenger regarding their cohort assignments on  Oct. 7.   For clarity, the first round of in-school instruction is:

Regional program Cohort 1: October 26, 27, 28, 29, and 30

Regional program Cohort 2: November 2, 4, 5, and 6

Cohort 3 (both regional Program and Plan B)- November 9, 10, 12, and 13

Cohort 1 Plan B - November 16, 17, 19, and 20

Cohort 2 Plan B - November 30, December 1, 3, and 4

Health/Safety:  We continue to prepare the building for students’ reentry.  Signage has been placed reminding everyone to follow the three Ws:  Wear Your Mask, Wait 6 Feet or More Apart, and Wash Your Hands Frequently.  All classrooms have been outfitted with hand sanitizer stations.  Hallways have been marked with 6 Feet Apart sticker reminders.  Room capacity signage has been posted with the maximum number permitted per social distancing guidelines.  Two water filling stations have been ordered to convert existing water fountains.

Remote Learning Days:  The School Board has approved the following Remote Learning Days:  Nov. 18, Dec. 2, and Dec. 16.  All students will receive asynchronous assignments those days and will not report to school if in Plan B.  Due to the addition of these days, we will cease our Office Hours schedule beginning the week of November 9 to align with the WCPSS Plan.

Student Accountability and Required Health Protocols: WCPSS requires that all Plan B families review and sign the included documentation provided here:  Review and Sign.  Plan B students should bring the signed copy to school with them to submit to the homeroom teacher.  Hard copies will be provided at the Drive By Pick Up if a student does not have printer access.

Wake County Community Food HubsOur partners at Wake County Cooperative Extension have set up community food hubs to continue our work in providing students and families with access to food on Saturdays at these sites .
