Dear HMS Families,
I am writing to let you know that tonight I have been named the Northern Area Superintendent. While I am excited for this new leadership challenge, I will deeply miss our Heritage family and the school community we have built together.
Serving as HMS principal for the past eight years has been a tremendous privilege and one that has been both professionally and personally enriching. I cannot thank the students, staff, parents and school community enough for the unflinching support of our collective work supporting all our students. You have consistently loved and encouraged us while holding us accountable to very high expectations. The outcome of our partnership has resulted in a school community that is both strong and healthy. I am confident even greater days are ahead!
I will cherish the many relationships that have formed over the years within our school community. This is the community I call home and that my own children have thrived in. My last day as principal at HMS will be Friday, February 28. More information about the process of hiring a new principal will be shared in the coming weeks.
