Winter Break 2020 -2021 Update

Thank you to all of our Wildcat families for the support these past few weeks.  The words or encouragement and thank you letters were greatly appreciated by staff.

WCPSS and WCES will be closed from December 22nd-January 3rd for Winter Break.  We hope all Wildcat Families have a safe and healthy Holiday Season.  Please remember to follow the 3Ws so that we can have a successful start to the second semester on January 25th.

Completing End of 1st Semester Assignments

During the weeks off from school, students will also have the opportunity to catch up on any missing assignments or classwork that needs to be completed/redone. Please encourage your child to complete unfinished or missing assignments.

Virtual Academy for the Second Semester

If you selected Virtual Academy for the second semester, please check your email for a confirmation letter.  If you have not received a letter, please contact the data manager, Leanne Traub.  Some teachers will change classes in order to staff in-person and virtual classes.  These homeroom changes will be communicated prior to the start of classes in January.

3rd Quarter Materials Distribution

This event is currently scheduled for 2nd semester VA students only.  Students returning to campus on 1/25/21 will receive their materials in class.

As usual, families will pull up to the bus loop at the back of the school. Please have your carpool tag or a piece of paper with your student’s name on it visible in your car to make the process easier and faster. Families with students in more than one grade span can ask for the siblings materials and make just one trip.  A schedule will be shared later.

eBooks are HERE in the WCES Library

Thanks to the support received from our recent Virtual Book Fair we were able to purchase eBooks for all students at WCES. Students can find these books when logged into their WakeID and clicking on the Follett icon.

Have a safe and healthy break away from school, not away from learning!
