September 21 Updates

Hello Parents,

Have you attended our PTA meeting?  Are you a part of the School Improvement Team, the SIT? If answer is no, then you are not doing everything you can to help our students reach higher heights.  I know you have an idea for how things can be better, but we have not heard from you. So do not delay, ask you child's teacher about how you can get your ideas heard.  No one knows what you know, so get involved to make us all better!

How Can You Support Your Child's Teacher

  • Help the teacher get to know your child. Children respond differently to different adults.
  • Be collaborative. Teachers want the same thing you want...for your child to be great!
  • Communicate, communicate, communicate!
  • Be even-tempered, your child will behave like you do.
  • Join forces to help your child get organized.  Ask your child's teacher for tips to use at home.
  • Stretch the teacher’s awareness of learning.  Use the words from school, at home (like add, count up, main idea, respond, details, fraction)

  • September 29 and 30 are Remote Learning Days (Teacher Workdays)
  • Fall Track out for ALL students begins September 29 and runs through Oct 16
