Dear Green Hope High School Parents,
I'm so sorry to inform you that Jason Furrie, one of our 11th grade teachers and a football coach here, passed away from a long term illness.
He has had a long lasting and positive impact on our school community, and we will miss him greatly. Our thoughts are with the family and friends during this difficult time.
This morning we shared the loss with the football team and provided additional support. We wanted to give you this information so you can share this with your child and be there to provide them support.
Every child is different, and the emotional response may vary. A team of counselors, psychologists, and social workers will be available at school to support students as needed. If you need additional support or are concerned for your student, please contact student services at 919-380-3700 ext. 25406
