New For The Week:

 

CARPOOL REMINDER

Please do NOT drop off or pick up your student in the parking lot. All carpool students need to be dropped off at the front of the building. 

 

INTERIMS & PARENT CONFERENCE DAY

  • Interims went home Thursday and Friday last week.  Please check with your student and look over the report, sign, and return to school. Parent Conference day is September 26th from 8:00 - 3:00. Signup links are being sent by each team.

  • NRMS Spirit Day: Come celebrate NRMS spirit day at Knightdale's Qdoba on Thursday, Sept. 8th. 20% of all proceeds b/t 11am-10pm go towards our school. Only good for either dine in or carry out and leave your receipts by the register for it to count towards our PTA fundraiser. 

  • Next PTA Meeting: Our next PTA General Meeting will be Monday, September 12th at 6pm. A google link will be sent out. All are welcome to attend!

7th grade - VACCINATION PAPERWORK

  • 7th grade families, your child is required by the State of North Carolina to have two vaccines, the Tdap and MCV.  If you have been contacted about your child missing documentation, your child must have proof of vaccination to attend school beginning Friday, August 26.  If your child has not been vaccinated for Tdap & Meningo, they will not be allowed to attend school until vaccinations are completed and they have provided proof of vaccination.

 

Athletics: Is your student interested in Football, Soccer, Volleyball, or Cheer? Tryouts are Sept 6th - 8th and all students need a physical. 

*Football workouts are Monday and Wednesday this week. 

 

7th & 8th Graders in Health and Physical Education
Your student will receive a letter to bring home on Tuesday, 8/30, regarding Human Trafficking Safety in accordance with NC Senate Bill 279. On Tuesday, 9/13, all students in 7th and 8th grade Health and PE will participate in a lesson on Human Trafficking Awareness and Prevention. Please ask your student for the letter for more information.

WHEN IS TRACKOUT?

  • Here is a link to the NRMS calendar.  Please plan your vacations accordingly so they line up with the school trackouts.   

 

COVID Updates: If you have questions/concerns regarding COVID, please direct them to Ms. Turner (thturner@wcpss.net) or Ms. Shore (jshore@wcpss.net) The WCPSS policy remains the same:

  • Testing Positive: Students must remain out for 5 days from the day of symptoms or the date of the positive test if asymptomatic, minimum. After 5 days, if students are fever free and symptoms are improving, they may return but must wear a mask for an additional 5 days. 

  • Symptoms and/or Running a Fever: Students are to remain home for at least 24 hours fever free. A COVID Test should be conducted prior to the return (and must be negative, if positive follow above guidance). 

  • Exposed: As long as students remain symptom free, students may be at school. If students begin exhibiting symptoms they must follow the guidance above for symptoms.

RECORDATORIO DE CARPOOL

Por favor NO deje o recoja a su estudiante en el estacionamiento. Todos los estudiantes de viajes compartidos deben ser dejados en el frente del edificio. 

 

INTERINOS Y DÍA DE CONFERENCIA DE PADRES

  • Los interinos fueron a casa el jueves y viernes de la semana pasada. Consulte con su estudiante y revise el informe, fírmelo y devuélvalo a la escuela. El día de la conferencia de padres es el 26 de septiembre de 8:00 a 3:00. Cada equipo está enviando enlaces de registro.

7mo grado - PAPELEO DE VACUNACIÓN Familias

  • de 7mo grado, el estado de Carolina del Norte requiere que su hijo tenga dos vacunas, la Tdap y la MCV. Si lo han contactado porque a su hijo le falta la documentación, su hijo debe tener un comprobante de vacunación para asistir a la escuela a partir del viernes 26 de agosto.  Si su hijo no ha sido vacunado contra Tdap y Meningo,no se le permitirá asistir a la escuela hasta que reciba las vacunasestán completos y han proporcionado prueba de vacunación.

 

Atletismo: ¿Su estudiante está interesado en fútbol americano, fútbol, ​​voleibol o porristas? Las pruebas son del 6 al 8 de septiembre y todos los estudiantes necesitan un examen físico. 

*Los entrenamientos de fútbol son los lunes y miércoles de esta semana. 

 

7.° y 8.° grado en Salud y Educación Física
Su estudiante recibirá una carta para llevar a casa el martes 30 de agosto sobre la seguridad en la trata de personas de acuerdo con el proyecto de ley 279 del Senado de Carolina del Norte. El martes 13 de septiembre, todos los estudiantes de 7.° y 8.° salud y educación física participarán en una lección sobre prevención y concientización sobre la trata de personas. Por favor, pídale a su estudiante la carta para obtener más información.

¿CUÁNDO ES TRACKOUT?

  • Aquí hay un enlace al calendario NRMS. Planifique sus vacaciones en consecuencia para que se alineen con los planes de la escuela.   

 

Actualizaciones de COVID: si tiene preguntas o inquietudes con respecto a COVID, diríjalas a la Sra. Turner (thturner@wcpss.net) o la Sra. Shore (jshore@wcpss.net) La política de WCPSS sigue siendo la misma:

  • Prueba positiva: los estudiantes deben permanecer fuera durante 5 días desde el día de los síntomas o la fecha de la prueba positiva si es asintomático, mínimo. Después de 5 días, si los estudiantes no tienen fiebre y los síntomas mejoran, pueden regresar pero deben usar una máscara durante 5 días adicionales. 

  • Síntomas y/o fiebre: los estudiantes deben permanecer en casa durante al menos 24 horas sin fiebre. Se debe realizar una prueba COVID antes de la devolución (y debe ser negativa, si es positiva, siga la guía anterior). 

  • Expuesto: mientras los estudiantes permanezcan sin síntomas, los estudiantes pueden estar en la escuela. Si los estudiantes comienzan a mostrar síntomas, deben seguir la guía anterior para los síntomas.
