Hello Raven Families,

 

It’s hard to believe we’re in the final week of the 2021-2022 school year.  The last day of school will be Friday, May 27th.  Please read the information below for important end-of-the-year information.

 

New for this week:  

 

• EOG update:  Neuse River Middle School is committed to providing all students with an excellent education.  Students who score Level 3 or higher on these assessments are considered proficient.  Students who do not score a Level 3 or higher on the regular administration and have passed the course/ subject have the option to participate in a Remediation and Readministration opportunity. If your student qualifies for the Retest Option, you should have received a talking point message on Friday. The opt-in letter will be sent home tomorrow with specific test details.

 

• Library books are due no later than Tuesday, May 24th. Please remind your student to return all books. Teachers will be sending lost book pricing information to parents this week.

 

• 6th grade will have an awards ceremony on Wednesday, May 25th.  Parents are able to watch on a live stream.  Be on the lookout for the link and a message from your child’s teachers.  Following the awards, there will be a field day.  Please make sure your child has a water bottle on that day and sunscreen is applied before coming to school.
• The 7th grade will have an awards ceremony on Thursday, May 26th.  Parents are able to watch on a live stream.  Be on the lookout for the link and a message from your child’s teachers.  Following the awards, there will be a field day students will participate.  Please make sure your child has a water bottle on that day and sunscreen is applied before coming to school.
• 8th grade families -  if you haven’t already done so, please click here to RSVP for the dinner and awards night on May 26th at 5:30 PM.  To ensure we have enough food for everyone, we need your RSVP.  The last day to RSVP is Tuesday at 5:00 pm.

 

• New BETA Inductees and 2021-2022 Beta Members only will have a mandatory practice on Monday, May 23rd from 2:30 - 4:00. Please make sure you attend as we will practice and answer any questions you have concerning the ceremony on Wednesday. The formal induction ceremony for BETA will be on Wednesday, May 25th. New Inductees will need to be at the theater by 5:30 so that they can take their places. Parents will be allowed in at 6:00 pm.  Our 2021 - 2022 Beta Members will need to be here at 5:00 pm to help set up and help to get our new inductees ready for the ceremony.

 

• Report cards will be mailed home the week of May 31st.

 

• The first day of school for the 22-23 school year is on Monday, July 25th and the full calendar can be found here. 

 

 

On-going Important School Information:

 

• There will be a PTA meeting May 31st at 10:45 to vote on new officers and conclude this year’s budget. You may participate in the meeting by joining the link HERE.

• Parents of 6th graders, if your child has not already received the required immunizations for 7th grade - Tdap & MCV - https://www.immunize.nc.gov/schools/k-12.htm, please schedule now to get them before the start of 7th grade on July 25.

Hola familias de Raven,

 

Es difícil creer que estamos en la última semana del año escolar 2021-2022. El último día de clases será el viernes 27 de mayo. Lea la información a continuación para obtener información importante de fin de año.

 

Nuevo para esta semana:  

 

• EOG actualización  La Escuela Intermedia Neuse River estácomprometida a brindar a todos los estudiantes una educación excelente. Los estudiantes que obtienen un puntaje de Nivel 3 o superior en estas evaluaciones se consideran competentes. Los estudiantes que no obtengan un Nivel 3 o superior en la administración regular y hayan aprobado el curso/materia tienen la opción de participar en una oportunidad de Remediación y Readministración. Sisu estudiante califica para la Opción de Reevaluación, debería haber recibido un mensaje de tema de conversación el viernes. La carta de aceptación se enviará a casa mañana con los detalles específicos de la prueba.

El último día para confirmar su asistencia es el martes a las 5:00 p. m.

 

• Los nuevos miembros de BETA y los miembros de Beta 2021-2022 solo tendrán una práctica obligatoria el lunes 23 de mayo2:30 a 4:00. Asegúrese de asistir, ya que practicaremos y responderemos cualquier pregunta que tenga sobre la ceremonia del miércoles. La ceremonia formal de inducción de BETA será el miércoles 25 de mayo. Los nuevos miembros deberán estar en el teatro a las 5:30 para que puedan tomar sus lugares. Los padres podrán entrar a las 6:00 pm.  Nuestros miembros Beta 2021 - 2022 deberán estar aquí a las 5:00 p. m. para ayudar a organizar y ayudar a preparar a nuestros nuevos miembros para la ceremonia.

Información escolar importante continua:

• Padres de alumnos de sexto grado, si su hijo aún no ha recibido las vacunas requeridas para el séptimo grado - Tdap y MCV - https://www.immunize.nc.gov/schools/k-12.htm, programe ahora para recibirlas antes el inicio de 7º grado el 25 de julio.
