Hello Raven Families,

 

Welcome back, Ravens!  I hope you all had a fantastic weekend.  Please read below for important information.

 

New for this week:  

 

    • Parents of 6th graders, if your child has not already received the required immunizations for 7th grade - Tdap & MCV - https://www.immunize.nc.gov/schools/k-12.htm, please schedule now to get them before the start of 7th grade on July 25.
    • Current 6th and 7th grade students are registering for next year’s electives through their Math classes. Counselors will finish visiting Math classes by Friday, April 8.
    • Boys soccer will play on Tuesday vs. Wendell here at NRMS at 4 PM.
    • The next track meet will be on Monday at 4 PM right here at NRMS.
    • Another track meet will take place on Wednesday at Wendell at 4 PM.
    • Girls softball will play on Monday vs. Wendell here at NRMS at 4 PM.
    • Thursday, April 7th will be the Spring Sports pictures at 2:30.  Be on the lookout for order forms.
  • Our NRMS block party has moved from April 23rd to April 30.  Please save the date, it’s surely going to be a great time! Student performances, FREE food, and live music!  See our flier below for more information!

On-going Important School Information:

 

  • If you need access to PowerSchool, email mhorton@wcpss.net.
  • Parents: Please check your child’s grades in Powerschool. Students can login from home and show you their most updated grades and progress.
  • COVID Testing: If you are interested in your student receiving a weekly COVID test at school, please complete THIS LINK. Testing will take place on Tuesday, 4/5.
  • Students should complete 2 hours of iReady each week: 1 hour of reading and 1 hour of math.
  • NRMS Media Center: We have 538 overdue books and a list of students waiting to read them. Please remind your student to return all overdue books.

April 30 - NRMS Block Party

May 2 - No School

May 16th - EOG testing begins

May 27th - Last day of school

Hola familias de Raven,

 

¡Bienvenidos de nuevo, Ravens! Espero que todos hayan tenido un fantástico fin de semana. Lea a continuación para obtener información importante.

 

Nuevo para esta semana:  

 

    • Padres de estudiantes de 6.º grado, si su hijo aún no ha recibido las vacunas requeridas para 7.º grado - Tdap y MCV - https://www.immunize.nc.gov/schools/k-12.htm, programe ahora para obtenerlos antes del inicio del 7º grado el 25 de julio.
    • Los estudiantes actuales de 6º y 7º grado se están registrando para las materias optativas del próximo año a través de sus clases de Matemáticas.consejeros terminarán de visitar las clases de Matemáticas el viernes 8 de abril.
    • Fútbol masculino jugará el martes contra Wendell aquí en NRMS a las 4 PM.
    • La próxima reunión de atletismo será el lunes a las 4 p. m. aquí mismo en NRMS.
    • Otra competencia de atletismo se llevará a cabo el miércoles en Wendell a las 4 p. m.
    • El softball femenino jugará el lunes contra Wendell aquí en NRMS a las 4 PM.
    • El jueves 7 de abril serán las fotos de Spring Sports a las 2:30. Esté atento a los formularios de pedido.
  • Nuestra fiesta de la calle NRMS se ha mudado del 23 al 30 de abril. Por favor reserve la fecha, ¡seguramente va a ser un gran momento! ¡Actuaciones estudiantiles, comida GRATIS y música en vivo! ¡Vea nuestro folleto a continuación para obtener más información!

Información escolar importante continua:

 

  • si necesita acceso a PowerSchool, envíe un correo electrónico a mhorton@wcpss.net.
  • Padres: por favor verifique las calificaciones de su hijo en Powerschool. Los estudiantes pueden iniciar sesión desde casa y mostrarle sus calificaciones y progreso más actualizados.
  • Pruebas de COVID: Si está interesado en que su estudiante reciba una prueba de COVID semanal en la escuela, complete ESTE ENLACE. Las pruebas se llevarán a cabo el martes 4/5.
  • Los estudiantes deben completar 2 horas de iReady cada semana: 1 hora de lectura y 1 hora de matemáticas.
  • Centro de medios de NRMS: Tenemos 538 libros vencidos y una lista de estudiantes esperando para leerlos. Por favor, recuérdele a su estudiante que devuelva todos los libros atrasados.
