May 26 Event: Information for Rising 9th- Homeschool, private, charter- additional information about your registration appointment
Families MUST CONFIRM completing enrollment before choosing classes at ADMHS. To confirm enrollment has been completed, please contact our Registrar, Patrice Sidney, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
After you have confirmed that enrollment is complete, if your family would like to meet with someone to choose courses, please plan to attend a Registration Planning event on May 26th at 6 pm. The event will be held in the ADMHS Cafeteria. Please RSVP here by May 18th.
Please come prepared with the following to help the session run more efficiently:
-A copy of the student's most recent grades from this school year (unofficial copies are fine)
-Report cards from grades 6 and 7 for Rising 9th graders, or a High School Transcript for Rising 10th, 11th, or 12th grades
-A copy of the student's 504 or IEP, if applicable
Athens Drive Magnet High School hosted a Curriculum Fair & Open House on February 24th On this document, you will see a link to the Rising 9th Grade Meeting Recording (as well as other grade levels and content areas, should you need them). You can find a plethora of other information on the Course Registration page of our website, including Course Registration Guides by grade level. This will be helpful for you and your student in choosing courses for next year. Please take time to review this information with them before May 26th.
During the event, you will make selections for the following:
- Social Studies
- Healthful Living (PE) (if Rising 9th grade)
- Elective choices
You will work with members of ADMHS Student Services to also choose a total of 11 courses-8 primary, and 3 alternate electives to be used in the event a first choice is not available. If you do not need to meet with someone, you can email your 11 choices to the Dean of Students, Jasmine Pearson, at email@example.com.
* Class selections are subject to availability. We will do our best to honor requests, but placement cannot be guaranteed. The last day to request a change to course selections is June 10th ,2022. Be reminded that a final copy of student records including final grades and test scores must be submitted to our Registrar, Mrs. Sidney (firstname.lastname@example.org), upon completion of this school year. Failure to provide records will result in the delay of a completed schedule and the student may not be able to begin school on the first day. Accurate and up-to-date records are imperative in ensuring proper placement in courses. *
