St. Baldricks and Team TACKLE

st baldricks logo

If you are unfamiliar with St. Baldricks, it is an organization that raises money (and awareness) to fight childhood cancer.  For more information check out   Fourteen years ago a group of teachers formed Team TACKLE (Teachers Against Cancer Killing Little Educatees).  We went several months without haircuts, raised money, and then went downtown to have our head's shaved.  Over the years I brought St. Baldricks to wherever I have been, and at some point we added growing terrible facial hair.  Team TACKLE has raised over $165,000 in its existence.

There are several ways you and/or your child can become involved:

  1. Have your child become a shavee. He or she can grow his or her hair out over the next two months, raise money, and then on Saturday, February 29th go bald to put a stop to childhood cancer.
  2. Donate. You can give to Team TACKLE members or you can donate to your favorite teacher or possibly principal to help them reach their goal.
  3. Purchase a shirt here.

Please do not hesitate to contact me at with any questions.

Thank you all in advance for your support of this amazing cause!  Go Team TACKLE!
