Otter Splash for the Weeks of June 8-21
Hello, Oak Grove Family, Versión en español aquí, النسخة باللغة العربية هنا, Toleo la Kiswahili hapa, Версия на русском зд, Versiunea in Romana
We had a wonderful time celebrating our Track 1 5th graders during their Moving Up Ceremony! It was a special moment to reflect on their growth, accomplishments, and the lasting memories they’ve made at Oak Grove. We wish all of our Track 1 families a happy and restful track out. We are also looking forward to honoring the achievements of our Tracks 2, 3, and 4 5th graders during their Moving Up Ceremony, which will be held on June 26th at 10:00 AM in the multipurpose room. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
In addition, we had a wonderful time celebrating our former Otters who will be graduating this year. It was a heartwarming moment as students, staff, and families lined the halls of Oak Grove to cheer and clap for them during their senior walk. We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished and know they will continue to do great things. We look forward to seeing the positive impact they will make on the world. Congratulations to the Class of 2025!
Please note that the school will be closed on Thursday, June 19th. This is a teacher workday.

SUN Bucks summer food assistance program available for eligible students
This U.S. Department of Agriculture program provides a debit card worth $120 per eligible child that can be used to buy nutritious food during the summer months when schools are out. Most eligible students will be automatically enrolled in the program, but some will need to apply. Families can visit ncdhhs.gov/sunbucks to determine if they need to apply.
Pause on enrollments and transfers June 9 - July 1
To prepare for the transition to Infinite Campus, we will pause enrollments on June 13 and transfers on June 9. Both systems are scheduled to come online on July 1. This means that families will not be able to enroll in school or apply for a transfer within the district during this period. A Google form will be linked on our enrollment webpage that families can fill out indicating their need for a transfer or enrollment, which will take place after Infinite Campus comes online.
Infinite Campus accounts for families
We will be launching Infinite Campus, the new Student Information System adopted by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, for the 2025-26 school year. Infinite Campus will replace PowerSchool and be used districtwide to house student data, including grades, schedules, and bus stop information. Families will receive an email from Infinite Campus to the email address we have on file for their student in late June with instructions to access their portals. Please contact Alisa Dahlhoff, our data manager, at adahloff@wcpss.net to ensure your contact information is up to date.
Unclaimed school meal balances
Students who will graduate or exit the district during the 2024-25 school year and leave funds in their meal account may request a refund. The Refund Form must be submitted by September 1, or the funds will be donated to Child Nutrition Services to support the district's school meal program for students. If you need assistance, contact Child Nutrition Services at 919-856-2918.
