No School for Students Monday, October 10th
Monday is a Teacher Professional Development Day for WCPSS. Students report back to campus on Tuesday, October 11th.
Supporting Leopard Readers
Ms. Peters, our amazing media specialist, has written a grant to match the funds Lead Mine put into purchasing graphic novels for our media center. Click Here to learn more about how you can give back to help her fund the Donors Choose grant!
School Picture Purchases - After Friday
- Families will have 5 days to pay online to receive free shipping and the photos will come to Lead Mine.
- If they order late, the package will ship to their home address with the shipping fee.
- If they wait to receive the paper proof, their package will ship to their home address with the shipping fee.
Walk to School
On Wednesday, October 12th, we will meet at the former Six Forks Station movie theater at the end of Old Lead Mine Road to walk to school together. Leopards must be accompanied by an adult. Meet at 7:40am to walk to Lead Mine by 8:00am!
Yearly Poinsettia Sale
Orders will be taken between October 12th and October 26th for a December delivery of poinsettias! You must pre-order. A percentage of sales will come back to our Lead Mine PTA. Be on the lookout for more information soon!
October Family Night Out Event
Tuesday, October 18th will be our first LME PTA Family Night Out event! Join other Lead Mine families between 4:00-9:00pm at Greystone Village! Participating restaurants include Gonzas, Two Roosters, Papa's and Bottle Rev!

Congratulations to our 4th Grade Team
Shout out to our 4th-grade team who applied for a grant to pay for the grade level to attend the NC Symphony in January. The team was awarded a $493 Wheels on the Bus Grant, covering their January 2023 symphony trip! Way to go!
