Week One 22/23 - 9.2.22 Memo
We did it - a smooth week one. Lots of wins this week! We cannot be more excited about the year and the smooth start certainly paid us back for lots of pre-planning and prepping to ensure we started strong!
We will welcome our high school graduating 'Class of 2035' on Tuesday! We can't wait to see our newest Leopards thrive!
Thank you to all the families who positively support what we do each and every day - whether in person, in the community, or in their hearts!
Carpool Reminders
- Students should exit the car curbside so that they are not opening the doors into the traffic lane.
- There is NO LEFT TURN into or out of Lead Mine's campus during arrival and dismissal.
- Students should be seated in class ready to learn by 8:30am. 1st-5th graders not seated by 8:30am will be marked tardy beginning Tuesday.
- Students should be picked up in the carpool line by 3:30pm.
- Please do not drop students off on Old Lead Mine Road, this is extremely unsafe.
Bus Rider Reminders
- There is a new route this year - Purple. Please be sure to check your child's bus stop and route in Power Schools. Some stops and routes have changed.
- Purple riders share a route with Lynn Road Elementary students. Please make sure your child knows to exit the bus when arriving on Lead Mine's campus.
Coming to Campus
- Please be prepared to show your ID when coming to campus to pick up a student or enter our building. We have specific procedures we are following to ensure the safety and security of all our Leopards.
Birthday Treats
- If you send in healthy treats to recognize a Leopard's birthday, they must be store-bought. We cannot accept homemade treats.
- Please contact the teacher prior to sending items in.
- We do not have birthday parties. In order to protect instructional time, treats are passed out at lunch or recess times - the teacher can let you know what works best for the class.
PTA Update
- We are 130 members strong!
- Our PTA already has many events planned for the year...your membership dues supports those events as well as allows you to vote on the PTA budget.
- If you have not joined, we have a goal of 200 Members by December - please click here to help us reach our goal!
Celebrating Our Faculty & Staff
- In the month of September, we acknowledge our Substitute Teachers & Our Instructional Assistants by honoring all our Faculty & Staff in their names.
No School Monday! Have a great, long weekend!
