School State TSI status update
Two years ago,Wakefield Elementary was designated as a Targeted Support & Improvement Additional Targeted Support (TSI-AT) school by the North Carolina State Board of Education. Each year, we are required by the state to share this stauts with our families. As stated in ESSA Section 1111(d)(2), North Carolina had to identify schools for targeted support and improvement. North Carolina's Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) State Plan identifies schools for targeted support and improvement when schools have student subgroup(s) that are underperforming. We have targeted support plan for our SWD subgroup. As a TSI-AT school, we are required to develop a comprehensive plan that specifically addresses how the school will improve student achievement.
