WECHS Principal's Weekly Message, July 23 2021
Happy Friday! Summer is almost over and we can’t wait to see you all!
The 2020-2021 yearbooks have arrived! We will reach out to you next week to set up pick up times/days or you can wait until school starts.
Student Tech Survey: All WECHS students, please complete this survey so that we can have devices ready for the beginning of school in a few weeks. Student Tech Survey Link
As of this morning, we have 45 responses, so we need almost 300 more! We can do this!
If you are new to WECHS this year and didn’t have a chance to read the PWM (Principal’s Weekly Message) from July 9, please do so. It’s linked on our website under Principal’s Message. https://www.wcpss.net/domain/5445. I’m also reposting some of the information at the end of this message for your convenience.
If you would like to coordinate ridesharing with other WECHS families, the PTSA developed a form for your use. Click on the link under Carpool Anyone on the PTSA site: https://www.wechsptsa.org/ This is a self-managed process, please reach out to those in your area to make arrangements.
WECHS bus route clarification: Bus stops and routes are not yet loaded into PowerSchool and will be loaded just prior to the opening of school for the traditional calendar as we ride routes determined by Enloe HS. Until Enloe starts on August 23, WECHS students will ride Express Bus Routes. Express Bus routes aren’t finalized for the 2021-2022 school year yet, but this list may give you an idea of where the stops MIGHT be so you can plan. Important: All Students Will Receive Free School Meals For the 2021-22 School Year
Breakfast and lunch will be available at no cost to students for the 2021-22 school year. While the district may be able to offer free meals to all students, it is very important for eligible parents to complete a meal benefits application because this data enables schools to obtain funding to provide other important educational resources to benefit students. Other benefits that are issued directly to families that have applied and are eligible for meal benefits may also be available (such as the P-EBT cash benefit). Parents can complete a meal benefits application online at myschoolapps.com. Paper applications also are available at all schools. More: www.wcpss.net/free-reduced-meals.
