I hope each of you had a wonderful Spring Break! This is just a reminder that we will have school tomorrow (Monday, April 7th). We look forward to seeing all our leaders back on campus tomorrow morning! This coming week is Assistant Principal Appreciation Week. Thank you for joining me in sharing great gratitude to Mrs. Storey and Mr. Harmon, as well as our interim Assistant Principal, Mrs. Lockwood. We are so grateful for their leadership!

Panorama Survey: Help us make your child’s school experience as positive and beneficial as possible by giving honest, thoughtful responses to the questions in our family survey from April 7 - May 16. This is a district-led survey provided to all families and we welcome your feedback.
Virtual Principal Chat: Please join us on Friday, April 11th, for a virtual Principal Chat with Mrs. Sexton. This will begin at 8:45am and Google Meet link is here. This will be our last Principal Chat for this school year. We hope you can join us!
Wax Museum: Our 5th grade students will share their 5th grade Wax Museum on April 11th. Students from all grade levels will be able to participate and are encouraged to bring coins to “activate” student leaders. Money collected will benefit a charity that supports Western North Carolina.
Basket Raffle: Have you purchased your Basket Raffle Tickets? You can Buy your tickets here! Any tickets purchased online will be sent home with your child for you to fill out (first name, last initial and teacher).
PTA will be selling tickets in person outside the Media Center this week as well from 8:00-10:00 am daily as well as from 3:00-5:00 on Friday. We can't wait to see you all on April 15th at 6:30pm for the Live drawing after Family Game Night! We are also still looking for volunteers to help make this event a success. No School on Friday, April 18th: There will be no school on Friday, April 18th, in observance of the Easter holiday. Students will return to campus on Monday, April 21st.
Game Night: On Tuesday, April 15th, we are hosting a Family Game Night on the same night as our Basket Raffle. View our digital flyer here. We hope this gives you a chance to get to know other families in our Combs community during this fun event! Please note, that families should stay with their child during this time. Games are available from 5:30-6:30, ticket sales stop by 6:15 and the Basket Raffle is from 6:30-7pm in the
Gym.
EOG Testing schedule for grades 3rd-5th: In an effort to be proactive, we want to share our testing schedule for the end of the school year for students in grades 3rd, 4th, and 5th. We appreciate your partnership as we plan ahead for these testing dates.

After school Dance Classes: There is an after-school dance class opportunity for children ages 5-9 years at Western Boulevard Presbyterian Church. The class is 8 weeks and begins April 10th. More information can be found here.
Fast Break Football: Fast Break Football Camp is back for its 8th year! This year's camp will run from Monday, 6/23 to Friday, 6/27, 2025 and is open to boys and girls in rising 4th - 8th grades and will be at Broughton High School. Register and pay today by visiting www.fastbreakfootballcamp.com. Financial Aid is available. No camper will be turned away for financial reasons. More questions? After-School LEGO Activity: We are excited to offer an after-school STEM Lego class from April to June. You can view class information and sign-up information here.
