Principal's Message - April 5

Good evening Middle Creek families,

I have some important information to share regarding today's tardy sweep, information from our PTSA and the Stampede Club.

  • Tardy Sweep  | To address the growing issue of students arriving late to class we recently shared with parents, students and staff our plan to conduct random tardy sweeps that will carry increased consequences for being late to class. Today's second period tardy sweep caught 43 students late to class.  Those students will need to report to after school detention tomorrow (Thursday, April 6th) as their consequence.  We are hopeful that students will continue to increase their effort to get to class on time.
  • PTSA Leadership Needs | The Middle Creek High School PTSA has established itself as our "academic" booster club and plays a vital role in the success of our school.  With the evolution of leadership, many of our current board members are graduating with their seniors.  In order for this important stakeholder group to continue as a fully functioning PTSA, we are in critial need for parent volunteers to assume leadership roles. There are well established policies and procedures in place.  I strongly encourage any parent who has an interest in getting involved in our school community to step up at this time.  We have many supports in place to assist the new leadership with getting up to speed.  I would be happy to meet with any interested parents to discuss the needed roles and to clarify any questions that you may have.  Now is the time to get involved!
  • Stampede 5K | The Stampede Club will be hosting the 6th annual SUPERHERO 5K & Mustang Mile (Run or Walk)  on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 10am.  I encourage you to join in the fun by getting dressed up as the SUPERHERO that you are!  You can win prizes by racing and by being the "Best Dressed".  We have a new route that is flat and easy.  If you'd like to be a Phantom runner we'd be glad to accept your donation.  For Sponsorships contact Silvia Robertson.  For race sign ups and donations click here: 5K Registration.

I wish all of our families a restful Spring Break next week.  Thank you all for your continued support of Middle Creek High School.  Go Mustangs!

Wade Martin, Principal
