Good evening Middle Creek High School families,
It was another great week at The Creek!
Things ran smoothly for our early release day and I hope everyone is headed into a fun-filled weekend. Next week is the last week of Third Quarter, followed by our Spring Break. Reminder that Friday, March 31st is a teacher workday, so there will be no school for students that day as well.

Information & Reminders:
PROM!
The MCHS Junior/Senior Prom 2023 will be Saturday, April 15th from 8:00-11:00pm. and the theme is: Starry Night! The prom will be held at the Sheraton Imperial in Durham which is the same location as last year. Students can obtain forms during lunches & on our website mainpage. All juniors and seniors who have paid all fees and fines (including grade level dues) will get a free ticket to attend. Guest tickets will be $60. More information on tickets and dance details will be included on the forms. Forms will need to be turned in to the front office.
Junior and Senior Due Reminder -
Junior and Senior dues can be paid now, if they have not already been paid. Ms. Healy at the front desk is able to support any questions. Junior and Senior dues are used for Prom and senior celebrations/activities. They are $40 each year.
Spring Spirit Week:
In April, our Student Government is sponsoring a Spring Spirit week! Below is a flyer with the dates and themes! Please encourage your student to participate.

Seniors:
Senior Parent Meeting -
A parent meeting will be held on April 24th at 6pm Virtually (this is moved from the original date of 4/20) for all Senior parents/students. This meeting will address graduation information, final transcripts, senior awards and end of year celebrations. A link will be posted Monday, April 24th on the MCHS website for you to access. This meeting will review very important information, so please plan to attend.

If you have a graduating senior who plans to attend a college or university for the fall semester and who intends to pursue a K-12 teaching career please consider applying for this amazing opportunity through WCPSS. The deadline to apply for the Future Teachers Program is Mar. 31st.
Graduation Caps and Gowns -
Cap and Gown pick up is Monday, March 27th during both lunches in the front lobby. Students should come during their lunch time to pick up their cap and gown. If you have not ordered yet, please visit Jostens.com for more information.
Senior Slideshow - One LAST Call
This year we will be creating a senior slideshow with pictures submitted by Seniors and their families. We are asking all seniors to complete the form linked below sharing 3 pictures (per senior) that represent them and their time in school or at MCHS or growing up. These pictures must be school appropriate, as the slide show will be created and shared with seniors as part of a celebration activity towards the end of the year. If you have questions, please contact lmegronigle@wcpss.net. The last date to complete the form will be January 13th.

Information from Student Services:
Family Night for Spanish-speaking families at MCHS
On Wednesday, March 29, MCHS will host an information night for Spanish-speaking families with students in grades 9-12. We will provide information related to registration and course selection, promotion to the next grade level, academic support options, and preparing for post-secondary success. Spanish interpreters will be available. We will meet in the media center at 6 pm. All Spanish-speaking families are invited to attend!
